Problem -

Malaysia has one of the highest car ownership per person in the world and this has led to very high levels of carbon monoxide pollution in all its major cities. Carbon monoxide is emitted from the combustion of petroleum in vehicles. These pollutants can cause immense amounts of pollution. Unfortunately, Malaysians rely on vehicles instead of public transport. In addition, their overuse of vehicles is killing the environment as dangerous gases are polluting the environment. 6,500 people are known to have died due to direct or indirect effects of air pollution. While we know the situation is bad, we do not know how dire it really is.

Solution -

EPSM will be collaborating with Youtube to come out with a video to create public awareness to Malaysians about the state of the environment regarding air pollution.

Solution -

The video utilises audio to attract its viewers, using the sound of a man breathing heavily, viewers will get the wrong idea (the video will continue to be blur until the viewers adjust the settings under the air quality tab) while in reality it’s the bad air quality that causes the man to have trouble breathing while jogging.

This tab is to educate them that the use of vehicles in Malaysia has led to air pollution.
